Hi Readers

Writer's picture: caylee sinclaircaylee sinclair

I am Janet Sinclair and I would love to take this opportunity to introduce myself by giving a bit of a background to myself and my work.

I grew up in a seaside town in South Africa called East London. I have always loved the sea, sun and outdoors. I was active growing up and was always interested in food and fuelling my body to ensure I felt my best. I have a history of heart disease in my family and this led to me really focusing on the importance of my health. Specifically, when my dad passed away from cardiac related aspects at the age of 64.

I base my practice on my own life experiences and how I implement certain things in my own life. I can honestly say that I love what I do.

I have been in private practice for over 25 years. I have work experience in hospitals in the United Kingdom and South Africa. I currently consult for the Life Healthcare Hospitals in East London as well as running my own private practice.

My focus is on teaching people how to make small gradual changes to their current eating habits that will have long term significant and sustainable results. Food can be fun and you do not need to be a chef to make interesting, healthy and tasty goods. Years of living this way has enabled me to teach my clients self-tested tricks that make all the difference when trying to eat healthier.

I aim to teach my clients that quick diets are not sustainable and don’t work in the long term. You have to make changes that are easy to implement and live with forever. Another aim of mine is to adjust my client’s diets to suit their specific medical and nutritional needs while still keeping the goal of having fun with food.

I have a great deal of experience in diabetes, cardiac related diets and weight loss. I also have a personal interest in IBS and helping clients manage these unpleasant symptoms.

If any of this is applicable to you or you have more questions – please feel free to contact me and we can start your journey to healthier living together.

Here’s to a healthy and dynamic life
